I am Qiana Stewart, MSE.d, LPCC-S a licensed clinical therapist, clinical supervisor, founder, and owner of Fostering Hope; A Transformational Wellness & Consulting Group. For over 20 years I have worked in the areas of social service and mental health. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Central State University and a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Dayton.
As a Clinical Therapist, I have worked in a variety of program areas in healthcare settings, as clinical director for a mental health agency, clinical supervisor for both graduate students and professional counselors seeking to obtain independent licensure, and clinical therapist in the private practice sector. I have also been a university lecturer for Masters level Social Work courses, provided professional development at the middle and high school levels, and panelist and presenter for employers and community faith-based organizations.
Over the course of my career, I have worked with clients ages 11 to 72 years old, with therapeutic needs in the areas of behavioral health, adjustment/phase of life disorders, grief, family, marriage, couples, as well as mood and personality disorders.
My approach to therapeutic encounters is collaborative- integrating multiple perspectives, cognitive reframing, emotional support, and the skills to help them transform, manage, and navigate life in a way that fosters sustainability and amplifies wellness and hope.
